BRASSBALL LEAGUE
POSTSEASON

Game Four

Brown vs. Hampton

Obviously a key game from the Mudcats' point of view.  Going down 3 games to 1 would have been tough.  But the boys woke up in this one to notch the series at two games apiece.  Game was close with a score of 3-2 headed into the bottom of the 6th.   Troy Glaus, however, made a critical 2 out error that kept the inning alive for the Mudcats.  After the error a single, WP, 2 more singles and a dinger saw the Mudcats finish the inning up 9-2.  But all was not lost for the Maulers.  In the top of the seventh Troy Glaus' 3rd homer of the game was a grannie that brought the score back to 9-7!  However, that was the closet the Maulers could get and the Mudcats went on to a 10-7 game 4 victory.  Andruw Jones, who had been 0-14 in the seires up till game 4, went 3 for 4 with 2 dingers and 4 ribbies to lead the charge.  Glaus finished the game 3 for 4 with 6 ribbies and an ERROR :-)

Andruw Jones blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Minnesota Mudcats
defeated the Cook County Maulers by the score of 10 to 7 at Metrodome.

Jones made sure the Minnesota fans enjoyed themselves. He delivered a single
in the 1st inning, lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in the 3rd inning and
lofted a three-run bomb (his 4th of the season) in the 6th inning. Minnesota
had a total of 10 hits for the game.

Mike Hampton(3-1) went 6 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Hampton was
helped out by Matt Morris who recorded his 2nd save. Kevin Brown(2-2) was
hit with the loss. He was touched for 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.

Troy Glaus slammed 3 homeruns but his offense was not enough to carry Cook
County to victory.
