Darryl Kile(3-1) and Robert Person(0-1) treated the Minnesota fans to a fine
pitching duel at Metrodome.  The Minnesota Mudcats eventually emerged as
victors over the Cook County Maulers by the score of 2 to 1.

Cook County was unable to recover after Minnesota went ahead in the 2nd inning
scoring one runner.  Cook County had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
