Left fielder Sammy Sosa cracked a homer and had 5 RBI and Javier Vazquez was
able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the
Ocala Ocelots outscored the Minnesota Mudcats 6 to 3.
Sosa had a big evening at the plate. He doubled scoring two baserunners in
the 1st inning, rifled a three-run blast (his 5th of the season) in the 5th
inning and banged out a single in the 7th inning. Ocala rapped out 12 hits
for the night.
The win went to Vazquez(3-0) who allowed 3 runs in the game. The losing
pitcher was Darryl Kile(3-2). Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 11 batters
in 6 and 1/3 innings.
