Randy Johnson allowed 3 hits while blanking Cincinnati as the Metropolis
Avengers smashed the overmatched Cincinnati Royals, 10 to 0.

Barry Bonds provided much of the offense.  He doubled in the 4th inning, lost
the ball over the fence for three runs (his 1st of the season) in the 7th
inning and laced a one-base hit in the 8th inning.  Metropolis rapped out 12
hits for the afternoon.  

Johnson(1-0) was credited with the shutout. Kevin Brown(0-1) was given the
loss.  John Storer lamented, 'Johnson was really aggressive today.  He kept
coming after our hitters.  Heck, why not. he kept sitting our guys down one
after another - like so many bowling pins!'
