Right fielder Bobby Abreu cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Randy Johnson
mowed down 10 Cincinnati batters at Swifton Commons as the Metropolis
Avengers beat the Cincinnati Royals 11 to 3.

The Cincinnati fans didn't appreciate the big day Abreu had.  He lofted a
three-run bomb in the 3rd inning and hit a bases-empty home run (his 2nd of
the season) in the 5th inning.  Offensively, Metropolis was a juggernaut.
They scored in 6 separate innings.  

Johnson(2-0) picked up the complete game victory, allowing 3 runs. Woody
Williams(0-1) was the loser.  Johnson didn't realize how many strikeouts he
was racking up.  When told he had 10 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding?
Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't think I had K'd that
many.  Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'
