Matt Stairs had a big evening at the plate. He cracked a solo homerun (his 1st of the season) in the 2nd inning, tripled emptying the bases in the 5th inning and delivered a single in the 8th inning. Cincinnati had just 6 hits for the night. Kevin Brown(1-1) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Jason Schmidt(1-1) suffered the loss. He gave up 8 runs in 4 and 2/3 innings of work.
