Carlos Zambrano whiffed 11 batters and Victor Martinez had 2 base hits as the
Moline Cutters defeated the New Hampshire Derry Heifers by a score of 3 to 0
at The Corn Crib.

Zambrano(3-0) came through with a virtuoso performance against the New
Hampshire hitters.  He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings lowering his ERA to 2.83.  Moline had a total of 7 hits for the game.

John Thomson(2-2) was the losing pitcher.  Zambrano didn't realize how many
strikeouts he was racking up.  When told he had 11 he was obviously
surprised, 'No kidding? Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't
think I had K'd that many.  Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'
