Shortstop Cesar Izturis collected 2 extra-base hits at Dodger Stadium as the
New Hampshire Derry Heifers beat the Santa Barbara Outlaws 3 to 0.

New Hampshire jumped on top to stay in the 6th inning scoring one runner
utilizing 2 base hits.  After two outs Craig Counsell drew a walk.  Rondell
White followed and he stroked a single.  Ryan Freel then lined a one-base hit
scoring the run.  For the game New Hampshire out-hit Santa Barbara 10 to 4.

John Thomson(2-1) got the win allowing no runs in 5 and 2/3 innings. Francisco
Cordero earned the save, his 4th.  Curt Schilling(2-1) was tagged with the
loss.  Despite the loss, he struckout 13 New Hampshire batters in 9 innings.
