In a dramatic ending at Wrigley Field the Moline Cutters won in their last
at-bat beating the Plaza Lions by the count of 5 to 4.

The game was decided in the bottom of the 9th inning.  Troy Glaus took matters
into his own hands and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 1st of the
season) resulting in an exciting win for Moline and a raucous post-game
celebration by the home town fans.  For the game Moline out-hit Plaza 10 to
6.  

Trevor Hoffman(1-0) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the
victory. The losing pitcher was Shingo Takatsu(0-1) in relief.  He gave up 1
hit and no walks without retiring a batter.
