45,593 fans were treated to a fine game at Wrigley Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Moline Cutters won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.

Juan Rincon(1-0) was brilliant in relief and registered the victory.  He
didn't give up much, just 1 hit and no walks in 3 innings and mowed down 4
Plaza batters.  Moline had only 6 hits for the game.  

Trevor Hoffman was credited with his 3rd save.  Oliver Perez(0-1) was the
loser.  He allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
