Roger Clemens struck out 11 batters at Duff Stadium where the Springfield
Isotopes beat the Ocala Ocelots 6 to 2.

Clemens(1-1) pitched a solid game. He went 7 and 1/3 innings surrendering 7
hits and 3 walks reducing his ERA from 4.50 to 2.70.  Both teams finished the
game with 9 hits.  

Clemens got help from Jay Witasick who was credited with his 1st save.  Jake
Peavy(0-1) was hit with the loss.  He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered 9 hits and 3 walks.

Eddie Murray was upset after the game.  'I don't like to complain but did you
see that umpires strike zone?', he said.  'Maybe they ought to start calling
the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule book.'
