John Thomson blanked Windy City allowing just 2 hits at Wrigley Field where
the New Hampshire Derry Heifers beat the Windy City Slickers 6 to 0.

Shannon Stewart was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors.  He lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' (his 1st of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled scoring two
baserunners in the 5th inning and banged out a single in the 7th inning.  New
Hampshire totaled 10 on the night.  

Thomson(1-0) was credited with the shutout. Brett Tomko(0-1) ended up with the
loss.  He allowed 6 runs and 10 hits in 7 and 1/3 innings.
